Blake Tartt III

Blake Tartt's love of Oxford began over 40 years ago and is more fervent today than ever.  A 1984 graduate of Ole Miss, Tartt made his first trip to Oxford in the spring of 1980 for Sigma Chi Derby Days.  He quickly embraced the Southern charm and culture of one of the country's truly unique towns.  As his success in the real estate business grew it was only natural that Tartt return to his roots, investing his time, talents and resources in maintaining the quality of life that is uniquely Oxford and Ole Miss.

Tartt is a visionary who brings creativity, energy and action to all of his investments.  He's also a traditionalist in the sense of loving the character, cuisine and culture which today has become known as the New South.  Tartt is widely recognized for his ability to infuse innovative development concepts into an established architectural context.  Drawing on his travels around the world and voracious study of Southern culture, Tartt brings a fresh perspective to Oxford. Yet it is balanced by his deep commitment to the rich charm and culture that defines Oxford and Ole Miss.

As a businessman and President of the Ole Miss School of Business Real Estate Advisory Board, Tartt is dedicated to accomplishing his objectives with a solid financial foundation.  He has a perspective of Oxford that can only arise from decades of studying the community from a grassroots level.  His passion for "windshield economics" results in "real life" solutions that are drawn from observing life at all levels.  He has an uncanny ability to spot trends, anticipate their impact on the built environment and develop cogent strategies to effectively address them.  He has a reputation for high quality development with an investment in lasting amenities. His projects are replete with landscaping and environmental amenities that far exceed the norm.  The "Tartt Touch" is distinctive and defines his investments and development projects throughout the country.  It's a pleasure for him to bring that touch to the community he so dearly loves.
